On December 12, 2023, Alberta published an update on the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) inventory. According to the new update, there were around 3,232 Alberta Opportunity Stream applications, 1,087 Rural Renewal Stream applications, and 832 applications under all pathways (Family Connection and In-Demand Occupation Streams, Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, Priority Sectors, and Accelerated Tech Pathway) of the Express Entry stream. In addition, on November 21 and December 5, 2023, the AAIP held two new draws and invited 11 and 19 candidates working in the healthcare sector, respectively. This year, Alberta invited 3,549 candidates under all AAIP streams.
