According to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) data, immigration to Canada increased by nearly 40% in the first two months of 2023 compared to the same period last year. Canada admitted 100,430 new permanent residents in January and February 2023 – a dramatic increase from 72,815 permanent residents accepted in the first two months of 2022. This increase shows that if this trend continues throughout the rest of 2023, it will be a record year for immigration to Canada.
