Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) plans to welcome 485,000 permanent residents in 2024. In addition, this year, Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), Canada's largest immigration pathway, will introduce new guidelines and multi-year plans. Furthermore, the International Student Program will improve its Letter of Acceptance verification system and review the Post-Graduation Work Permit program. Lastly, IRCC plans to leverage AI to streamline the immigration process, and a new advisory board will focus on immigration policy.
