IRCC announced a new update for Irish nationals applying under the IEC

On July 31, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced updates to the International Experience Canada (IEC) bilateral agreements and arrangements, specifically for Irish citizens. The new instructions clarify the participation limits for each category, effective immediately. Irish applicants are now allowed two participations under the IEC bilateral agreement: one participation of up to 24 months in either the Working Holiday or Young Professionals category and one participation of up to 12 months in the International Co-op (Internship) category.
