Manitoba proudly stands out among Canadian provinces as it has welcomed more Ukrainian refugees per capita than any other province. Manitoba is committed to offering Ukrainians a wide variety of settlement services that enable successful integration into their new home in Canada. The Government of Manitoba has donated $800,000 in immediate humanitarian aid and nearly 300 soft body-armour vests to support their war efforts. Additionally, they have created a Ukrainian Refugee Task Force - led by the Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization (MEMO) - that is responsible for organizing help around housing placement, job search assistance, healthcare & mental healthcare services, and educational programs for children.
