The North Okanagan-Shuswap region has announced a comprehensive list of priority sectors and occupations for the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP), a federal pathway to permanent residency launching in May 2025. The initiative spans five key sectors, including healthcare, education, sales, trades, and manufacturing, with minimum wages set at $25 for service managers and $22 for other roles. The program features five intake windows throughout 2025, offering opportunities for foreign nationals with qualifying job offers from designated employers in specific rural communities.
